Russell Roof Tiles staff have seen huge results in their various charity drives this year.
Our annual golf day was a swinging success, raising £5,000 for various local charities and causes.
Scoring even more charity goals, the Russell Roof Tiles team who took part in the Burton Albion Corporate five 5-a-side donated more than £1,000 to local children’s charity, Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Ross Hayward presented the check to Acorn’s Business and Community Fundraiser, Taz Baines.
Russell Roof Tiles’ Operations Director, Bruce Laidlaw’s 1.5k swimathon and HR Manager, Nikki Rowbotham’s sugar free month were also given backing from Pitching for Pennies. They donated a whopping £1000 in total to Cancer Research UK.
There are even more philanthropic events coming up this year.
Five employees in Russell Roof Tiles’ customer services team will be travelling to Skegness in September for the ‘Great British Beach Clean Up’ and will be removing plastic and rubbish to prevent it being washed in to the sea and becoming harmful to the Marine Wildlife. As part of this, the team hopes to raise £1,000 in support.
All of these fundraisers have, and will have the full backing of Russell Roof Tiles through our Pitching for Pennies scheme. Announced in 2019, the charity drive saw us pledge to match fund whatever is raised for charity by an employee.
